North Wilts and Chippenham for Europe

We are a cross-party, grassroots campaign group for North Wiltshire and Chippenham constituencies. We believe that as a European nation, the UK should be at the heart of Europe, culturally, economically and politically. Our eventual aim is for the UK to retake our place at the top table of the EU where we can shape policy that affects us and our neighbours.

In the immediate term we aim to reduce the worst effects of Brexit, promote European values, and encourage cultural exchange between the rest of Europe and our local Wiltshire constituencies.

In the longer term, we would like to see new-Europeanism flourish by working towards a closer relationship with our friends and allies in the European mainland.

We also believe that the UK has benefitted greatly from the exchange of trade, skills, knowledge and investment whilst in the EU. We must continue to work together with our European neighbours to secure peace and security in Europe and tackle borderless issues such as the environment, ERASMUS and visa free touring for our creative musicians and artists.

This group is taking a sabbatical but a representative from the group participates in Wiltshire Alliance meetings. You can link here to keep in touch. Please ensure that you include your post code so that the North Wilts group can contact you directly.

Exports to the EU from the UK are down dramatically (40% from December), and far from made up by the small increase in exports to other parts of the world (1.7% rise). …
